Questions Clinics Ask
Is Medly available now?
We are onboarding a founding cohort of clinics in Nigeria and Kenya. Apply, and we will contact you by email or phone to arrange a call.
Who counts as staff?
Anyone who signs in to Medly: doctors, nurses, lab scientists, dispensers, front desk and administrators. Each person gets their own account and sees only what their role needs. Staff who do not use Medly, such as cleaners and security, do not count.
How do we pay?
By card, or bank transfer quoting the invoice number, monthly or yearly. Clinics in Nigeria pay in naira and clinics in Kenya in US dollars. Your administrator can change plan any time in Medly, and every invoice and receipt is kept there. Founding clinics on yearly billing pay nothing for their first 3 months.
Who owns the patient data?
Your clinic does. Patients can see their own records, Medly stores and protects them, and we never sell patient records. If you opt in, we may include your clinic in statistics that combine many patients and cannot identify anyone. You can export every record at any time.
What if our internet is slow?
Medly is built to load quickly on ordinary mobile data. In the patient app, medication reminders are stored on the phone, so they go off even without data.
Do patients need a smartphone?
For the Medly app, yes, Android or iPhone. Patients without one can still receive notices from their clinic by email.
Can we bring our existing records?
Yes. During setup we work with you to bring in your current patient list, whether it lives in a spreadsheet or another system.
What if no plan fits us?
Apply and choose Custom plan, and tell us how many staff and patients you have, and how many branches. We’ll get in touch and build a plan with the limits and price that fit. Only your clinic will see it.
Can we stop using Medly?
Yes. Export your records and stop at the end of any billing period.
